Do you need any introduction on reading the above quote? Yes! It’s Bill Gates. He is one of most successful giant entrepreneurs of this 20th century. He has created a lavishing sides in the book of world history as a Technology leader with Microsoft. He is a continual owner of richest man’s list in the world for the past twenty plus years. Bill Co-founded Microsoft software company in 1975 and served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Software Architect for the company. He stepped down from his CEO position in 2000, and chairman position in 2014, in order to focus more and to serve for Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

1. Technical knack:

· Gates has flickered the revolution of computers in this world. He was much interested in computer program and created a game tic-tac-toe while he was studying in school. During his school days rather than spending time in his classes he spends in playing video games.

· At the age of 17 he sold his first computer program to create timetable for high school and earned 4200 US dollars.

2. Optimistic risk:

· While he was studying at Harvard in December 1974, his friend Allen showed a magazine contented with worlds first microcomputer Altair 8800 article. They both was impressed a lot and called the manufactures and told them that they have created a BASIC language program for Altair and got opportunity to meet the president of Altair. Fascinating thing was they didn’t have written any program yet, once they were entrusted with opportunity they started to create program in their university computer laboratories days and nights. They finally went with doubtful mind for their program’s output and successfully presented in the company.

· After the success Gates dropped his college degree to pursue his spirits. Allen and Gates started Microsoft in 1975.

3. Genius frame:

· They got an opening in IBM’s requirement on creating an operating system for its new computer. Microsoft generated operating system MS-DOS and sorted out their problem. The genius trick behind this deal, it was licensed with Microsoft name and where it all started in full swing. Soon others company started to use their OS for their new computers because it was considered as cheap to buy than to manufacture. In 1980 Microsoft made a sale of 7 million US dollars and it kept increasing then.

“Ultimately, the PC will be a window to everything people are interested in-and everything we need to know.” He was making extraordinary impossible things through his determination and confidence.

· During his college days he used to tell his college lectures that he would be millionaire at the age of 30. He achieved this and advanced by achievement by becoming billionaire at age of 31. From then he was in the billionaires list constantly.

4. Minimalism:

· He learns from every mistake and critics acclaimed by others and he develops it a lot. With this character he had built Microsoft to new heights. In 1994 it was approximately calculated that 85% world computer was running with Windows Operating System.

· Though he is the richest man, he maintains his simplicity till now. He used to travel in fly coach till 1997 even when he had 36 billion US dollars.

5. Influential Contributions:

· After his mother’s death he was devastated a lot. Then along with his wife he started Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support world health, education and funds in low-income communities. His foundation spends a lot more on world health than World Health Organization. He has donated around 28 billion US dollars till now. Approximately 6 million people were saved by his organization’s healthcare

· In 2010 he signed Giving Pledge, promising to give more than 50% of their wealth to charitable organization to ensure betterment of the world.

6. Greatest insights:

· He made his entire fortune of gratification in terms of general public desires, technology, environment and public well-being by his earlier predictions. Several criticism was cited for his predications but he was considered as his best business skill. His calculation were true because of his constant learning habit.

· He had written a book called ‘Business @ the Speed of Thought’ where series of predictions were made and 10–12 prediction were already became reality. He has also mentioned that there would be no poor country in the end of 2035, Snatching human effort with automation, Shackle of Bio-terrorism.

Young entrepreneurs should develop strong decision making ability with future forecast.
